Bondowoso (EN)


After near three years of not visiting, finally I could set my foot in Bondowoso regency for the second time. This wasn't obviously just an ordinary visit, because on this occasion, Parkour Bondowoso hosted the 2019 East Java Parkour Regional Jamming.



On that day, Friday, April 26th, 2019, the six of us (I, Yohanes, Andreas, Dimas, Ijoe, and Aan) had gathered at Bungurasih bus station from 07:30 AM. After we ate breakfast and waited long enough, the bus to Bondowoso finally arrived. The six of us immediately entered it quickly to book our seats. Not long afterwards, two other friends from Parkour Blitar also joined us. The bus itself finally departed around 10:45 AM.

Four and a half hour bus trip wasn't a problem at all. The enthusiasm for attending this event and the fact that we would meet other Parkour friends from East Java region really overcame our boredom during on the bus. The eight of us then alighted near Bondowoso Central Park and were picked up by Angga there. Just info, Angga was the chairman of this regional jamming committee.



We spent time throughout the day by chatting and resting in Angga's house. And by the night time, Parkour Probolinggo crews arrived to stay in Angga's house as well.

Saturday, April 27th, 2019. Starting on that day, all of the regional jamming participants could use Dabasah 1 State Elementary School building to be the official staying place. Before moving there in the afternoon, I decided to do informal jamming with some other participants first at Bondowoso Central Park.



Finally, after sunset time, the opening of East Java regional jamming was officially begun. The committees immediately distributed the official T-shirts and the food, then continuing with meet-and-greet session until late at night. Actually, although fewer participants attended this regional jamming comparing with last year, we all still enjoyed every moment of it wholeheartedly.

Sunday, April 28th, 2019. Since ±06:30 AM, all participants had eaten breakfast and warmed up first before continuing to do a morning run from our staying place to Bondowoso Central Park. Then, during the next few hours, every one of us did jamming together until around midday.

Not long afterwards, 2019 East Java Regional Jamming was closed with a photo session from all participants and the committees. Then, after some discussion, the 2020 Regional Jamming will officially be held in Sidoarjo.



While most of the participants immediately returned to their hometown, I rested in Angga's house again along with other Parkour Surabaya friends. We waited there until late night to catch up our returning bus schedule to Surabaya.

Overall, I'm so impressed with this regional jamming in Bondowoso. Apart from its advantages/disadvantages, in fact we use this event to build our friendship and stay in touch between fellow parkour practitioners around East Java. Brotherhood and kinship are obviously far more important than just showing off parkour skills. And last, hope we all could meet again in Sidoarjo next year.

Sekedar info saja, Jombang merupakan kota pertama di Indonesia yang memiliki Parkour Park , sehingga itulah yang menjadi salah satu daya tarik jamreg kali ini.

  Bagi yang belum tau, akan saya ceritakan ulang latar belakang saya. Jadi, sejak awal menekuni olahraga parkour, saya selalu menganut aliran parkour non-kompetisi ( old school parkour ). Di samping memang skill yang biasa-biasa saja, saya pun tidak terlalu suka menjadi pusat perhatian karena kepribadian saya yang kebetulan introvert. Alasan utama saya masih menekuni olahraga ini hingga sekarang ya karena aspek kekeluargaannya . Berkat parkour, bersyukur saya bisa mendapat banyak teman dari berbagai kota di Indonesia, bahkan sampai ke luar negeri juga. Bagi saya ini adalah anugerah tak ternilai yang jauh melebihi uang dan kekayaan sekalipun.

Semalam di Bojonegoro

  Pagi itu, saya terbangun ±pukul 09.00 dengan perasaan campur aduk di kosnya Firdaus . Ada senangnya, namun ada juga sedihnya. Baru saja tadi subuh saya nobar perempat final Euro 2024 antara Portugal vs Perancis . Namun sayang, pada akhirnya Portugal harus kalah lewat adu penalti setelah 120 menit skornya imbang 0-0. Tentu sebagai penggemar timnas Portugal dan Cristiano Ronaldo saya merasa kecewa, karena turnamen Euro terakhirnya harus berakhir dengan kekalahan. Hanya saja, beredar kabar bahwa dia masih ingin bermain di Piala Dunia 2026. Semoga saja info tersebut benar dan timnas Portugal bisa menjadi juaranya.
